Let’s marry under common law, not with state permit, pastor says

Common law marriage is the future in an era of administrative absolutism and tyranny. Queer theory has discredited state control of marriage, and we Christians should find alternatives to marriage under statute. The tests for marriage are capacity, consent, copulation (lovemaking), cohabitation and holding forth. The state certificate allows presumptively that these proofs are held as true in any dispute over right over property as between a man and woman united as one flesh under God. With Britt Watson, pastor of Christ Reformed Church in Soddy-Daisy.
