A lawyer tells me my open records request seeking details on weather modification has come up with zilch.

Albert Waterhouse is barking at me through the telephone; it may have been bad reception but the voice of the Chattanooga airport PR firm’s chieftain vibrated in my ear as if it were being squelched in a tube. But Mr. Waterhouse of Waterhouse Public Relations is making himself clear by repetition: “We don’t have any of that information. You’re going to have to check with the FAA.” There is no story; there is no point in having the airport spokeswoman Sarah Stephens give an interview, he says.
As if I were a slow person, he says my inquiry about “sky striping and sky tattooing” is fruitless, and that no information is available from the U.S.-regulated Lovell Field.
Indeed, a few days before, a law firm representing the airport, Chambliss Bahner & Stophel, had sent a note that my open records request under Tennessee law ‡ has come up empty handed.
The Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport Authority “has conducted a diligent search of its documents, records and electronic information. However, CMAA has identified no materials that are responsive to your requests,” says Tom Greenholtz, attorney, in a Nov. 17 letter.
In other words, if a stratospheric aerosol geoengineering program exists, the paper trail that flutters after it has not landed on any desk in Chattanooga. If such a trail exists outside military jurisdiction, it’s with the federal aviation administration.
