The “I can’t breathe” rap video is about the anger felt by tens of thousands of people in Chattanooga over police aggression and lawlessness. It contains clips of police tasings and slayings in the city, and expresses the hopelessness among many about scaling back violence sanctioned by Mayor Andy Berke, city council and county commission.
The mob of confused officers didn't bother to find out who they were arresting or why before one of them tackled a Black man to the ground, breaking his ribs.
Sirs, you have to have a warrant to arrest someone. You have to have a warrant. Otherwise, the officer is acting under color of law, in his own personal capacity. This arrest shows why African-American people are furious with police and sheriff’s departments.
