Underlying argument of protests: Power – authority = oppression

Lawless city council, angry people

“God requires justice of governors, councils, commissions, sheriffs, cops in Chattanooga, Hamilton County. As they reject due process, the people grow bitter” – David Tulis

Oppression by the great ones of the common and poor brings blowback in weekend of rioting and protest across the U.S., including here in Chattanooga. Leviticus 26 outlines how God is a creator of antithesis, and outlines the basic framework of the covenant. There is good (and blessing). There is evil (and cursings). Police killings of individuals, governor/mayor killings of liberty and the economy are pictures of judgment against us for our many sins as individuals and as a people.
