THP, city police put travelers at risk in high-speech chase over Ridge Cut

This police and Tennessee highway patrol video shows a harrowing chase of a criminal defendant’s eluding cruisers downtown Chattanooga, over the Ridge Cut, and along the interstate near Hamilton Place mall. The officers pursuing a rape suspect are willing to endanger the lives of hundreds of people to capture the man, as if radio signals, license plate numbers and other means of surveillance are not available to bring him to bar in a way not endangering innocent people.
