An unidentified visitor to Morristown, Tenn., runs his phone as a camera, and because a passer-by does not recognize him and calls the cops, the family man faces a barrage of questions about his identity and purposes. He has not committed a crime, and answers questions well; the officers realize their intimidation can go only so far, and finally answer yes, he is “free to go.” Every citizen with a cellphone is free to film anything he wants to in public and not have to answer any questions whatsoever. Members of the press have no fewer rights than other citizens. Of course, these cops detain/seize/arrest a man, but do not Mirandize him. Morristown awarded an “F.” (YouTube)
